Martin Daniels

Martin Daniels (born 1963, South Bank, Redcar & Cleveland) is an English magician and entertainer.

The second son of famous UK magician Paul Daniels from his first marriage to Jacqui Skipworth, Martin worked alongside his father on The Paul Daniels Magic Show, but he also took singing, dancing and music lessons, in addition to magic.

Martin presented two series of Game for a Laugh for London Weekend Television.

Daniels performed in many pantomimes at the Theatre Royal theatre in Lincoln, Hull New Theatre, Leeds Grand Theatre and the Newark Palace Theatre in 2006 as Wishy Washy in Aladdin. He moved to nearby Gainsborough around this time. On 3 April 2006, he became co-presenter of the mid-morning show on BBC Radio Lincolnshire with Maria Richmond. He later presented this programme solo, but left Radio Lincolnshire in order to undergo surgery on his back. Daniels also participates regularly in pantomimes, recently performing as Buttons in the Stockport Plaza's Pantomime of Cinderella alongside Lisa Riley.

In 2007, Daniels hosted the television quiz show, Rudeo on UK channel, Bravo. Based on the popular board game/quiz show, Cluedo, Daniels presided over affairs as a celebrity cast acted out the saucy goings on at Uppingham Manor. Contestatnts had to work out who committed the murder, with the aide of visual clues and the interrogation of the suspects. Characters included Colonel Musthard (Erkan Mustafa), Mrs Fluffcock (Diane Holland), Professor Plums (Stanley Lebor), Ms Harlott (Jo O'Meara), Mrs Tight (Katy Hill)) and Rvd. Fiddler McFilth, (Peter Bowles). TV Quick described the show as "Lewd and crude, veering towards disgusting and degrading. This show really scarpes the depths of tv despair....and who wants to see Peter Bowles undressing Katy Hill for goodness sake!". Only one series was aired, before producers pulled the plug. None of the celebrities involve care to talk about their involvement in the show.

Daniels currently (2009-2011) works regularly as an entertainer on P&O cruises ships. He has a wife and two children.
